Turn-Key Installation Process

1. Sizing and Siting

The first step to going solar is determining the size of the system. For an existing home we accomplish this by gathering the past 12 months of utility data. With this data we are able to determine the number of solar panels needed to offset 100% of your electricity needs.

From here we would schedule a time to visit your home and see how and where we would install the solar panels.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How does solar work?

How much does solar cost?

The cost of a solar power system varies depending on the size of the system that you choose and on-site conditions. Low energy consumers will not need a large system. The more energy you use, the larger the system will need to be. Typical systems range from $10,000 – $26,000, before incentives.

Do you provide Financing?

Yes, we are an approved installer under the Colorado RENU (Residential Energy Upgrade) loan program. We can provide more information upon request.

How long do solar panels last?

Most solar panels are guaranteed to last 25 years and are expected to last even longer. Improved design and manufacturing should allow today’s panels to outlive most of us.

Is maintenance required?

Typically your system is nearly maintenance free. All of our systems include some type of monitoring that allows you and us to view the system performance and spot a malfunction early. An annual visual inspection is wise. Occasional cleaning can help system efficiency but is generally not necessary. It’s okay to leave snow on your system during the winter months.

Do I need batteries?

Because Colorado electric utilities are required to Net-Meter solar systems, batteries are not required. If you would like to store you energy for a time when the grid is out of service, you would need to add batteries to the system either at the time of installation or at a later date.

Should I wait?

Solar prices have never been lower and technology is only improving incrementally. The time to save energy, the planet, and money has never been better or more urgent. Invest in solar today.
